SMS couplings
The SMS (Swedish standard) system is designed for equipment that does not require regular dismantling of hoses. This is a specific type of reinforcement, which is used mainly in the food industry (in particular, for the processing of milk), as well as in the chemical industry. Quick connection: it is enough to tighten manually. Nevertheless, it is advisable to tighten with a wrench to ensure stronger contact between the various components.
The maximum working pressure at ambient temperature is 15 bar (1.5 Mpa). SMS connectors are made of stainless steel. The hose stem connection is made of stainless steel AISI316, the nut and the cover are made of stainless steel AISI304. As connectors of the DIN standard, sms standard connectors are also widely used all over the world, especially in Europe.
