GEKA couplings were put into operation as water hose couplings in the industrial, professional gardening, agriculture and forestry, structural and civil engineering, domestic water systems, environmental protection and home and garden areas. Couplings were primarily designed to quickly and easily connect and fix flexible hoses. The technical requirements on which the pressure resistance is based correspond to the normal water pressure of the network (2-8 bar).

Since the beginning of 2000, it has been gradually changed from GEKA plus to GEKA plus. This was followed in 2002 by GEKA plus a quick stainless steel connection. With this development, a new generation of GAE has been perfected, dedicated to completely new areas of application. Working pressure up to 50 bar, vacuum up to 10 m., adaptation to acids, use in the food industry and all this opens up excellent applications.
